Winter Skincare Rescue

I’m stepping up my water game and trying to get as much H20 as I can to keep my skin hydrated and alive!

Winter takes a toll on our skin, and it is a vital time to look after our skin! The lack of vitamin D we get from the sunlight, let alone going from heated areas to really cold areas doesn’t make our skin happy.

So with this in mind, I am changing my body care regime, to hopefully give my skin enough love as I can during this cold season!

To start off, I am going to exfoliate twice a week. It is important to get rid of any dead skin hanging around, and also, by exfoliating, this gets the circulation going a little more. I love using exfoliating gloves, they’re quick, easy and I can use my favourite smelly shower gel with them too!

Next, I’m going to opt for a slightly more nourishing, thicker moisturiser. The cold weather really dries my skin out, so I want to do all I can for it to feel soft and supple, even when it is freezing outside! Every day I will slather this on after my shower. The body shop body butters are just perfect for this.

We are always left feeling rather ghostly and white through the winter, it makes me look so washed out and unhealthy! I’m going to incorporate a tan in to my skin care regime. Maybe around once a week, I don’t want to look like I’ve been ‘tangoed’ nor just returning from a month in the Maldives (I wish) but I would like to have a healthy glow and feel good about myself, and a hint of tan always manages to do this! I’ve been using St Moritz and I love it!

My new thing is trying to drink more water. Apparently this is good for pretty much everything! So I’m stepping up my water game and trying to get as much H20 as I can to keep my skin hydrated and alive!
